Tom Bryan has been a member of the Teaching Faculty since 2020. He serves students interested in food and sustainability. He mainly does this by teaching and/or coordinating courses on organic agriculture and agroecology. He is particularly fond of course design, field trips, authentic problem-based learning, curriculum planning, and universal design for learning. He also guest lectures in non-departmental courses and regularly engages with student co-curricular activities. Previously, Tom worked with the UW-Madison GreenHouse Learning Community starting in 2011. He graduated from the Nelson Institute’s Environment and Resources Ph.D. program in 2019 where he assessed the environmental impacts of meals and diets. Tom has also been professionally growing food for others since 2013. His favorite is broccoli.
