Hannia Ramírez

    Graduate Student – Freedman Lab

    Hannia is an M.S. student in the Agroecology program. She joined the Freedman Lab in the Department of Soil Sciences in 2025 after earning a B.S. in Biotechnology Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey. Her research focuses on studying plant–microbe interactions in edible crops. Hannia aims to integrate sociological and participatory research approaches into her work to promote soil health, sustainable food systems, and food sovereignty within community food networks in Mexico.
