Researchers from the Department of Plant and Agroecosystem Sciences and from across the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the Savanna Institute are working on growing currant berries between solar panels at the UW-Madison Kegonsa Research Campus solar array. Agrivoltaics, the practice of combining agriculture and solar arrays, is a promising field for Wisconsin and Midwest agriculture.
