Andy is a second year Agroecology M.S. student interested in the role of agroecology in strengthening food sovereignty, land restoration, and climate resilience outcomes in agrifood systems. Andy holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of Texas at Austin, and has experience in GIS, urban farming systems, and drinking water quality. Under the guidance of Dr. Bill Tracy and Dr. Michael Bell, Andy conducts polenta maize adaptation research, and is developing a project centering Andean women-led agroforestry movements.
