I was born and grew up in Lima, Peru. I obtained my DVM degree at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, my MS degree in Animal Science at Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina (UNALM) in Lima, Peru, and my PhD degree in Dairy Science at UW-Madison. In 2018, while I was an associate researcher at the Livestock and Climate Change Center at UNALM, I came to UW-Madison as a Borlaug Fellow to work with Dr. Valentin Picasso in our former Agronomy Department. My research interests include the sustainability assessment of smallholder dairy systems in the Peruvian Amazon and the use of Kernza straw in cattle feeding in Wisconsin.
