Amy Cottom, a financial specialist in plant and agroecosystem sciences, was recently selected to receive a University Staff Recognition Award from the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS).
Before working at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Cottom served the state of Wisconsin from 1993-1998. In this role, she entered crime statistic data sent in from cities across Wisconsin. In 1998, Cottom joined UW-Madison’s Department of Agronomy, now known as the Department of Plant and Agroecosystem Sciences. Over 28 years at UW-Madison, Cottom has provided essential administrative support and financial management for hundreds of students, staff, and faculty.
CALS will host their annual awards ceremony on Tuesday, April 28 from 4-6 p.m. where Cottom will receive her award. The ceremony is open to all of CALS friends, family, and colleagues of the awardees. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP.
